How can I help?[edit source]

Anyone can edit. You don't need to create an account. Although editing without an account will publish your IP address on the internet. There are two main ways you can help:

  1. Add new publication records: easiest way to do this is to grab code from here.
  2. Add missing details to (keywords, locations mostly) to existing publication records.

Publication records[edit source]

  • Publication Publications (reports mostly)
  • Every publication record needs a one-line summary (which can also be a succinct quote from the publication)
  • Every publication record needs keywords
  • Every publication record needs locations (if the publication relates only to a certain city, country or has geographic case studies)
  • Every publication record needs a live and archive link

Organisation records[edit source]

  • Keyword Organisations
  • Every organisation record has a tested live link as of 6 August 2024
  • Every organisation record needs keywords
  • Every organisation record needs a website

Long term goals[edit source]

  • Set up basic structure of the wiki (categories, keywords etc.)
  • Link keywords and categories together using templates
  • Get to 100 publication records
  • Would someone like to create a logo for us?
  • Make the home page pretty
  • Ongoing documentation of how stuff works
  • Recruit volunteer curators to add ongoing new reports, data and evidence as they are produced (don't wait to be asked - you can start adding new reports right now)
  • Add old reports, data and evidence produced in early part of 2024 before the project launched
  • Add old reports, data and evidence for 2023 and previous years (this may take some time!)
  • Recruit curators within organisations to record the full organisation archive
  • Work out how/if we will handle images
  • Work out how/if we will documents that are not online
  • Navigation templates (such as between publications in a series)

Maintenance tasks[edit source]

Technical[edit source]

  • Make site fit for screenreaders (code emojis as images with alt text, then test site for more changes)
  • Allow the site to support conditional expressions (IF)
